Apply for Aid
If you and your family have any doubts about financing a Vassar education, then we encourage you to apply for financial aid. To be considered for aid for the 2021-2022 academic year, you must complete the following items by the advertised deadlines:
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) required to determine eligibility for all sources of federal financial aid
- Vassar code: 002895
- US Citizens & Permanent Residents ONLY
- Available after October 1st. For 2021-2022 use 2019 federal tax information
- Once completed, be sure to review the Student Aid Report (SAR) sent to you by the Department of Education for accuracy. If necessary, correct any errors and resubmit.
CSS Profile required to determine eligibility for Vassar scholarship aid
- Vassar code: 2956
- ALL students - domestic and international
- Available after October 1st
- Students whose parents are separated/divorced, both parents will each complete their own CSS Profile application
College Board IDOC service to submit documentation (i.e. federal tax returns, W-2 forms, etc.) requested as part of the aid application
- Available late October/early November - must complete CSS Profile first
- IDOC will email instructions once you become eligible for service
- Write your name and IDOC ID number on all documents
- Retain a copy of all documents you submit
